I wanted to work outside the box.

After close to two decades in retail, climbing a structured corporate ladder, I wanted to do something that let me operate outside the box. Real estate had always pulled at me. I loved learning about it, and as a kid I wanted to run my own brokerage one day.

Things have changed a bit since then. Today what I enjoy most is building my team and teaching others everything I've learned. Real estate lets me be creative and an entrepreneur while helping people make the biggest purchase of their lives. There is a real sense of joy in that.

I'm licensed in South Carolina and Georgia, and I hold six REALTOR® designations: ABR, SRS, SRES, RENE, RSPS and PSA. Between them they cover buyer representation, seller representation, negotiation and pricing strategy. I'm fully bilingual, and I work with each client in the language they think in.

Every day is a different problem to solve.

No two days look alike, and every one of them has a challenge in it. What I enjoy most is solving problems and finding solutions. Thinking outside the box is the best part of the job.

My deepest expertise is in new construction, first-time buyers and relocation. I work hand in hand with respected builders, bilingual attorneys, lenders, inspectors and on-site sales representatives, so nobody is handed a phone number and left to figure it out. The path is arranged before you need it, and somebody is accountable at every step of it.

I don't stop until it's done right.

I never stop working. Some people would call me a workaholic. What matters is this: I won't give up until you get the outcome you came for. That might mean getting every repair done before you move in, netting you the best deal possible, or untangling a financing problem that could sink a loan.

I work well under pressure, I stay organized when things get chaotic, and I make sure my clients are taken care of.

Clients come back, and send their families, for the same three reasons: I put them first, I know what the market is actually doing, and I negotiate like the money is my own. Much of the Upstate meets me on Instagram at @carlosbedoyarealtor long before they ever pick up the phone.
